Milton Keynes’s very own super club, Ultra Vegas, returned for a sell out night on Easter Sunday and is back for a second helping on May 24 at Opus – in the city’s Theatre District.

Back in the day you could throw shapes, or jump around in the tropical plants, to throbbing sounds spun by Seb Fontaine, Boy George, Oakie and Tall Paul. But what gave Vegas its name was its talented residents who weaved their magic through the entire evening, taking the crowd on ecstatic journey after journey.

Ultra Vegas’s residents are alive, and kicking some serious ass… Don’t miss an amazing cocktail of classic and cutting edge tunes that will see you on the dance floor for the entire night.   The night will be split across two rooms with The Bar be host to Funky, chunky classic house and garage tuneage with DJs Strictly Music (Pat Bedeau, Terry Bedeau and Carlo Negro), Glenn Woods and IQ Collective (Bruce B, Johnny G and Paul McGilway)

The Main Room will be pumpin’ Ultra Vegas house tunes from 1996 all the way up till today with DJs Marcus Jones, Disciples Of Sound (Rob J Passow/Junior), Ashley Cooper

Club Liberty – Old Skool Garage events don’t get better

Posted by Big Boss Man On April - 21 - 2009

In just under two weeks, The Junction in Cambridge is going to be home to the Bank Holiday’s BIGGEST Old Skool Garage event.  Returning to where it all started, Club Liberty will showcase some of the biggest names from UK Garage scene.  This will be our first trip to a Club Liberty event but we have been informed that we can expect nothing but 5 hours of the best garage music.

If you loved the Old Skool Garage vibes from the 1997 to 2003 area, this is the event for you as we have been assured that the DJ’s have it all covered.  The DJ’s on the night taking care of all your musical needs will be The Dreem Teem’s Mikee B & Timmi Magic, Matt Jam Lamont, Martin Liberty Larner, DJ Menace and the Super Raggo Crew.

And if that was not enough, in Arena 2 you can get down to the sounds of UK Funky, R & B and bashment with Phatz, Sami Sanchez, RB1, Get Down Crew, Leeno, Paul Malcolm, Mr Bizzie, Danny 44 and Nikki Gracious.

Hosts on the night include the original ‘Masters of Ceremonies’ DT, Unknown MC and Sharky P, PSG, Kie & Sparks, Boss, Majestic and Dappa.  With 500 advanced tickets priced at £13.50 which are probably all gone, this is going to be packed to the rafters.  Damage on the door is a more than reasonable £15 before midnight and more thereafter.  There will be more news on this event closer to time but that line-up should be enough to convince you that there is no where else to be on the coming Bank Holiday.

Step up to ‘da spotlight’

spotlightActon is not in Beds, Bucks or Herts but because of the line up of this event and the success of the first event, we had to get involved in this event. Taking place at Libertaire on Acton High Street, this event features some of London’s best DJ’s and sounds on one night.

One quick glance at the DJ’s on the bill and you know to expect one hell of a night featuring the best in R & B, Hip Hop, Funky & Soulful House, Reggae/Dancehall, Soca, Old School Garage and much more.  On the night, you will be looked after by Kiss FM’s Pioneer known for dropping the latest House tunes, Choice Fm’s Riddla & Lispa AKA Live Linq, MJ & Toddler of Invasion Crew, West London’s heavyweights Crazy Hype and a host of other DJ’s and sounds… The list is just too long to go into.

The damage on the door is only £10 which is really good seeing as the event has such a good billing.  More information can be found on their facebook site by clicking on the flyer. We will be posting more info closer to the event.
