Ladies and Gents, its that time of the year again when Valentines events take over every venue in the country but there is only one that you need to know about in Milton Keynes. Whatever your plans are on the 14th, start your Valentines weekend two days early on Friday with the R&B legend DONELL JONES performing a rare exclusive at the real cozy and classy Spice Lounge, Milton Keynes.

Donell Jones, famous for hits like ‘Where I wanna be’, ‘U Know What’s Up’ and Shorty (Got Her Eyes On Me) will be performing live on the night all courtesy of Live Base. Live Base are renowned for putting on some of the best nights in the Three Counties such as Kano at Saints N Sinners. DJ’s will be only playing R&B hits old and new all night long.

Luton has been in need of a good clubbing brand for a long time and with Suburban Entertainment bringing Sweet and Sexy to Luton’s Club Ice, it seems that some prayers have been answered. This is the first Sweet and Sexy in Luton and if you don’t know what a Suburban night is like, click any one of these… ‘Luck N Neat‘, Donaeo and EZ & Soundbwoy Ent..

Taking place on the 6th March, Suburban Entertainment will be kicking off March with a bang. DJ’s on the bill include Kiss FM’s Pioneer, DJ Michael Jay alongside Maxwell D, DJ Garna alongside MC Viper, D’Loose with your host Stevey Jay, our office favourite Twista DJ alongside MC Dappa, Glamour’s Greg Costa with Champagne Bubblee and Elliot Ness.

It doesn’t end all there as there even more DJ’s and live acts on the night but the ‘piece de resistance’ is that ALL ladies are free before 11pm. 500 copies of the brand new Sweet and Sexy Part 3 Mixtape will be given away on the night.

Christmas is over and so is the hype around New Years Eve so we can all now look forward to the biggest event in January.  After months of voting, the Three Counties DJ awards has entered the final stage.  The public has voted and we are now down to the last ten DJ’s. The final has been arranged and it will be taking place at Saints & Sinners in Bedford on Saturday 30th Jan 2010. Full details are on Facebook

Each DJ will have just 30mins to impress the crowd with their mixing and selection skills. The DJ with the most votes on the night wins the impressive looking trophy and gets the title of ‘Best Three Counties DJ of 2009/10′.  There will also be runner-up prizes for the two runners-up.

The competition is fierce as the final ten are all well known across the Three Counties for their club performances as well as radio performances.  So who are the final ten??? In no particular order, the finalists playing on the night are Apollo Dan Dan, Danny ‘Dutty Mix’ B, Flex, Ian Congdon Lee, KC, Liz-E, Michael Jay, Selekta Rhino, Shejay 1E and last but not least, Rutty B.

The rules are simple, 30mins to impress. No pre-recorded mixes, no serato/laptop aided mixing and no MC’s during the 30min sets. All the DJ names will go into a hat and will be pulled out at random by a member of the audience until each DJ has played a 30min set. Once all the DJ’shave played, the audience will get chance to place their votes in the ballot boxes. The votes will be counted on the night and the DJ withthe most amount of votes wins. If there is a tie, both DJ’s go into a 20 minute battle. Simple!

As it goes, 2009 has been a good year for the team behind Glamour as they have been officially crowned as ‘The Three Counties Best Clubbing Brand for 2009/10′ by our readers. Having signed off in 2009 with Heartless Crew, Scorcher and a host of DJ’s, expect big things in 2010 from the Glamour team.
